Is it Secure?

Members of Security Federal Credit Union entrust us with their personal financial information. We take that responsibility very seriously and employ the latest technology to protect their accounts.

Security Federal uses Verisign, Inc. as the Certificate Authority to supply the data encryption on Security@home.

For our members’ protection, they are required to enter their Account Number, 4 Digit PIN, Password, and authenticate themselves with a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) phrase, image, and challenge questions.

Currently there are two levels of RSA data encryption that our server will support: 40-bit and 128-bit. The use of 128-bit data encryption across the borders of the United States to foreign countries is strictly prohibited by the U.S. Department of Defense. Therefore, only 40-bit data encryption is currently available for members outside of the United States. If you live within the United States, you should be able to download or purchase a browser that supports 128-bit encryption.
